How to Get Smooth and Healthy skin! Make The Most Out of Self-Isolation!

You don’t always have to set up a crazy skincare routine in order to maintain smooth and healthy skin. Because let’s face it, those can be very hard to stick to! Sometimes a good exfoliation once or twice a week is all it takes. As well as washing your face twice a day and drinking plenty of water! It is especially important to wash your face at night to wash all the bacteria that have clung on to your face during the day! The main cause of bumpy skin or rough textured skin is clogged pores! The best thing to do is exfoliate, from makeup that has not been washed properly to oils and pollution. It all has to go! It is highly important to look after your skin to keep your makeup looking bomb! As Summer approaches, all this Covid-19/ CoronaVirus stuff will hopefully blow over and we can have the best summer ever! We will be wearing less and going out more! During quarantine or self-isolation is the best time to prepare your skin!

So when was the last time you exfoliated? Exfoliating is not all about buying the best and most luxurious scrubs and using it on your face every day. Sometimes you can buy one exfoliating tool and just add it to your weekly routine. The trick is to remove the layers of dead skin cells and dirt that are blocking your pores and your skin's natural glow.

Remember that over-exfoliating causes skin irritation and under exfoliating causes dead skin to build up leading to pimples, so balance is key. For oily skin exfoliate once a week and for dry or combination skin, exfoliate once or twice a week. You can exfoliate with your favorite soap or natural cleanser! But it is important to choose a method that suits you!

Here are some of our favorite exfoliation methods:

Exfoliating Gloves:

Exfoliating gloves are cheap and easy to use. They can be used all over the body with your favorite cleanser or body wash. They can also be found at any nearby drugstore!

Exfoliating Brush:

Sometimes even after you wash, there's makeup and other dirt left on your skin, and that buildup leads to breakouts. Dead skin cells on the surface of your skin can also lead to rough and textured skin. Using an exfoliating brush with your basic cleanser helps to loosen and remove the leftover makeup that has seeped inside your pores and sweeps away dead skin cells for more youthful and radiant skin! A cleansing brush works effectively to remove dust, grease and cosmetic residue from your pores.  The brush can get deeper into your skin than just your soaped-up fingers.

Our exfoliating brush is the perfect tool to exfoliate your face and the rest of your body. It has 5 attachable and removable heads to make sure that you are silky smooth all over! It cleanses 10 times better than hands alone.

Exfoliating Scrubs:

If you decide to spend a little extra to invest in an exfoliating facial scrub, products with alpha hydroxy and lactic acids exfoliate gently to make you look radiant.

When washing, first use a mild face wash to cleanse your skin. Then, lightly massage the exfoliator onto your face. This may seem redundant, but before you exfoliate, you want a clean canvas, so that the exfoliant can focus on getting out the stubborn dirt and oil that are stuck deeper inside your pores.

And last but not least, wash those brushes! Make sure to wash your makeup brushes regularly with brush cleanser or baby shampoo. If you use makeup sponges, use disposable ones and discard/wash them after each use. These tools can accumulate bacteria, which can lead to breakouts.

Dirty brushes can make even the most expensive skincare routines go to waste!
